Our holed nest boxes have a 32mm entrance as standard, which suits a variety of garden birds. To restrict the nest box usage to smaller birds or to stop predators getting in, use a nest box plate to narrow the hole to 25mm. Nest box plates can also strengthen the hole if the nest box has been up for a few years.
