Purchasing

The supply of goods from this site is subject to availability, and it is not always possible for us to inform you at the time you place your order whether the goods you want are available for purchase. If the item that you have ordered is unavailable, we may from time to time offer a substitute that is of equal or greater value and quality of the original item. If you are not entirely happy, you may return the substitute product.

As we are continually improving the design of our products, some specifications may vary slightly from descriptions on this website. All sizes are approximate.

When you submit your order you are allowing RSPB Sales Ltd to use your personal details to fulfil your order. In the event that there is a problem with your order, we will communicate with you via e-mail, telephone or letter.

Satisfaction guarantee

The RSPB offers a no-quibble return policy.

Should you be less than delighted with any item you buy from us for any reason, let us know within 90 days of delivery, and we will be pleased to offer you a replacement or a full refund.

Returns policy excludes made-to-order items, personalised items, direct delivery items, Moorcroft ceramics and Royal Crown Derby paperweights.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Damaged or faulty goods

The goods that we supply are guaranteed to be durable and reliable. In the event that any product purchased from our website proves to be unsatisfactory in use due to defective workmanship or faulty material, you can return them to us for a replacement or a full refund. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Order cancellations, amendments and returns

So long as you let us know within 90 days of delivery, you may return the whole order or an individual product in its original packaging and condition for a full refund.

Where a refund is claimed, we will process the refund as quickly as possible, but please allow up to 14 days for the credit to reach your account.

If you wish to return an item, please call us first on 0345 034 7733. Items can be returned at no cost, using the freepost label on your delivery note.

If you wish to cancel your order for any reason the quickest way is to contact our Customer Care team by phone or email - please see contact details and opening hours on our Contact information page. You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after your order is delivered.

Age restrictions

Certain items available on the RSPB online shop are age restricted. By placing an order for one of these items you are declaring that you are 18 years of age or over. These items must be used responsibly and appropriately.

When submitting your order you are confirming to purchase goods and allowing RSPB Sales Ltd to use your personal details for the purpose of supplying goods.

We take the security of our customers’ personal and financial details very seriously. The processing of credit and debit card transactions are handled by the online payment provider Braintree which is a Paypal owned service provider. All direct payment gateways adhere to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), which are defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, whose members include all major card brands such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Braintree is a PCI DSS compliant Payment Processor approved by our Banking partners and support the 3D services “Verified by Visa” and “MasterCard SecureCode”. All online payments are fully secured with the highest-possible level of encryption and no card or payment system details are stored by the RSPB at any time. When you make a payment via this website, your card details are transmitted securely directly to the Braintree secure servers.

If you would prefer to pay over the phone, we are happy to take your order and will collect payment details from you over the phone straight into our virtual online terminal and these are never written down.

Special offers and discounts

Offers and discounts do not apply to RSPB Membership, Pressies that protect(virtual gifts), binoculars, telescopes, direct delivery items (Personalised gifts, Moorcroft, Royal Crown Derby, RSPB wine), or products already reduced in price (eg sale items) unless specified. Offers requiring a code to be quoted in the shopping basket are limited to one offer per order.

Product specific offers are only available while stocks last.

Where a minimum spend amount is required to qualify for an offer, this is calculated on the basket sub-total (after any other discounts have been applied and excluding postage costs).

Prize draws

When a prize draw is running, the following rules will apply:

• Terms and conditions apply. No cash alternative. One winning entry per household. RSPB employees are not eligible for entry.
• Winners will be randomly selected from all online, telephone and postal orders received by the closing date.
